I'm participating in teenwolf_bb, which I feel is an excellent use of my time. I've even managed to plot out most of the story, and I'm SUPER excited for it! It may or may not end in Lydia/Stiles/Derek - the way I've got it set up, it could very well turn out to be gen? So we'll see how THAT goes.

Tonight we're going out for dinner and drinks and generally making the other patrons of Sunset Cantina hate us, and tomorrow I'm meeting up with Brenda for dinner and seeing Bourne Legacy. Saturday and Sunday will most likely be spent sleeping, cleaning, doing laundry, and/or writing.

Speaking of - are any local folks interested in meeting up for writing group on Sunday? Possibly in Harvard or Central, or even Porter? I am flexible with the location and time, of course. Let me know!

Woohoo, writing! I was thinking Panera again, either in Harvard or Porter? Or Lyndell's in Central. I figure those are all places we can both get to. But we can wait to see if other people are interested and have opinions on location.

Oh man, Hoechlin is ALSO really adorable. The rest of the cast is as well. How did this happen?! Where did they even come from?!

I really enjoy stories where Stiles learns/is/can use magic (not sure how I'd feel about it potentially happening on the show, because I love his humanity and all that), so I decided to write future fic in which he and Lydia bond over learning magic together. I'm going to try to incorporate the idea of the universe always righting itself, plus the concept of magical taboos, etc. It's going to be a little bit angsty and probably a lot dark. There are a lot of other details that I don't want to say on an open post, but I could totally send you an email if you want to know more about it!

Okay there is so much Teen Wolf on my flist and I am clueless and you are good at explaining things.

Teen Wolf. What is it? Movie, show, book? Is it about teenagers who are wolves? Explain, pretty please?

OKAY. So Teen Wolf was this movie from the 80s starring Michael J. Fox that I think was a comedy? If I've ever seen it, it's been a while. Anyway, a little while ago, MTV decided to turn it into a TV show, and that is what people are going crazy over.

Basically the story goes like this: these 2 teen boys are wandering around in the woods one night, and one of them (Scott) gets bitten by something. The next day he realizes he has super strength and hearing and agility and all that, and his best friend (Stiles) is like, "Ha ha sounds like you're a werewolf...no, wait, actually that does sound like you're a werewolf." Lo and behold, that is the case. So the first season is pretty much these characters trying to figure out who bit Scott and is there a cure for lycanthropy. They suspect Derek Hale, whose family died horribly years before and who is only now returning to the town, but while Derek's a werewolf, he's not the Alpha. Meanwhile, there is lacrosse to care about, Scott's girlfriend Allison to worry over, murders going on all around town, and, yeah. (I would like to point out that I think the show gets infinitely better during the second season.)

Cast of characters include: Scott, Stiles (who is my favorite to end all favorites), Allison (Scott's girlfriend, whose family turns out to be werewolf hunters, my third favorite), Jackson (mega douche), Lydia (queen bee of the school with a twist, my second favorite), Derek (broody werewolf), and other supporting characters like the sheriff, Scott's mom, and eventually the Alpha werewolf.
