Watched the first eight episodes of Hawaii Five-0 yesterday. >:( Why is it so addictive. >:( Why is Kono so fucking badass. >:( Why are Danny and Steve fucking adorable and all surly and banter-y. >:( Why do I want to watch an entire show about Chin riding around Hawaii on a motorcycle now. >:( Why am I such a sucker for shows with delightful team dynamics. >:( >:( >:(

SO, GUYS. HOW 'BOUT THAT AVENGERS TRAILER LAST NIGHT? HUH? HUH? HOW GREAT WAS THAT? I TOTALLY DIDN'T WATCH IT FIFTY TIMES THEN RIP THE VIDEO AND PUT IT ONTO MY IPOD SO I COULD WATCH IT ALL DAY TODAY. NOPE. NOT THIS GIRL. I'M IN CONTROL OF MY BASER URGES. INCLUDING THE TONY STARK-RELATED ONES. YUP. NOTHING TO SEE HERE.

Julia, Andrew, and I already have a plan to see the movie. I'll be down in Jersey that weekend because the 5th is Isabella's first communion, so we're going to make Cathy babysit the kids when I get in on the 4th (she's on a cruise right now and can't protest, and the family rule is you cruise, you lose, suckas).

Speaking of movies, I saw some this weekend.

I'd only heard about Chronicle early last week, actually, and I think I made the right choice, seeing it on Saturday. The story was your basic we-got-superpowers-now-what plot, but I liked the script, and the movie was shot in an interesting way. I liked the three main characters a lot, and the whole last bit kept me on the edge of my seat. Very well done overall, I'd say, though not totally groundbreaking. I do recommend seeing it if you're into so inclined, though.

One for the Money wasn't super great, but it was enjoyable, mindless entertainment. Mostly it succeeded in making me really homesick for Jersey. And because my only exposure to the story was the bandom adaptation, I kept expecting Gerard Way and Frank Iero to pop up, so. /shrug Anyway, it was fine and funny in parts, so it wasn't a hardship to watch.

Should probably do some work today. >.> Happy Monday, all!

Hawaii Five-0 is amazing. I have a lot of H50 stuff in my mems. 114 links, not all of which are fic. Some are picspams, some are artworks, some are masterposts. Mostly I read Steve/Danny, so...

I definitely recommend anything by cattraine Especially the "Commander Octopus" series, as most of the fandom will reference it or give it a nod. Commander Octopus, Commander Octopus & Detective Starfish, and Take That, Jacques Cousteau!. If you don't mind some serious, serious angst her Sock Monkey verse is exceptional.

My friend shanachie_quill has a nice recs list with summaries for most of the stories. She also writes H50, which is all tagged as H50 fic.

I feel kinda awkward doing this, but I've written a few fics of my own, and I have more being written(I'd like to actually finish some of them, but my muses are stubborn).

Well, that should give you some reading material for a while. :)

WHY IS IT NOT MAY YET, WHYY. I made the most embarrassing noise at the "Mr. Stark." "Captain." exchange. And that little rasp to Steve's voice, and Nick Fury still believes in heroes, and Loki's ridiculous hair, and just EVERYTHING. :D

Why anyone would want to control their Tony Stark-related urges is beyond me. :)

H5-0 is one of my guilty pleasures. I don't read a lot of fic for it, but I'd definitely recommend all of gyzym's fics (they're all Steve/Danny though, hopefully that's ok) as they are amazeballs.
